Skype

When Steve was Deployed, I would leave my laptop open and Skype on with the volume all the way up to hear incoming Skype calls if Steve was able to get on. I didn't really think I would ever use Skype again unless he deployed again but I realized we can use it to communicate with family back in Washington and Idaho as well. We actually got to watch Steve's little brothers school wrestling match on my phone via Skype. It was awesome.

We are so proud of you, Curtis!
We were outside the Regal movie theater when we watched it because we are on our date night (to see Les Miserables) during his match. It was cold out but it was so fun to see Curtis whoop some behind.

John Deere Apron

Took me three days but I wanted it to be perfect! What do you think? I absolutely love it. It has a cute chic look with a country side for this Idahoan girl. It was my first time gathering fabric for the skirt part of the apron and wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. The skirt sort of balloons out a little so it doesn't help my figure at all but its not like I am going outside with it on.

sermon.net

I wanted to share with you a neat app (they also have a website you can listen on) called sermon.net. I learned about it through the First Baptist Church here that is right up the street from us. They, as well of many other churches around the US, are putting their Sunday service recordings on to that app so people can listen to them and learn their teachings from home. I absolutely love it since I have not been able to attend church yet but I pretty much consider First Baptist to be my church. I am planning on attending in person soon but through the app you can listen LIVE on Sundays (or whatever day they have their service). You just look up your church and you can listen to previous sermons and if your on at the right time, you can listen live. The pastor at First baptist is so funny and he helps me understand what I am reading in the Bible so much better. I am really enjoying it and I know a few of you would love to learn about this as well.

Harness training

Bunker is almost seven months old now and still young enough to have learning new things be fairly simple for him so I started harness training him. Its been a few days of keeping it on him for a few hours at a time and he is doing so well. Once he is comfortable enough in it, we can go outside and he can explore the world outside these walls like I did with Tubbles in Germany. Remember how she got to explore the BBQ area and the grass in the back of our building? She loved it and I know Bunker will to. Tubbles will not go for a harness so I think I will just stick with a leash for her. I can't wait for Spring to start doing more things outside with my babies. They love the sun and the harness will keep Bunker safe and close when we are ready to go outside.

Philadelphia trip

Can you believe its been almost a year since we moved to the East Coast and have not gotten out of the Wilmington area to explore at all? We decided to start looking in to making trips and seeing this side of the States more of a priority since we really only have a little over a year left here until we move back towards the NorthWest.

Since Valentines Day was yesterday, Steve surprised me with a trip to Philadelphia for our Valentines Day getaway! It was absolutely beautiful! Its only a 45 minutes drive. In my head it was hours away since I had never looked it up. New York City is two hours away, the Jersey shore is an hour and a half,  and Washington DC is two hours as well. We are right in the center of all these places we have been wanting to visit and I really had no idea.

We made our trip to Philly a day trip and got to see most of what we wanted to. The day went by so fast since there is so much to see.  I hope you enjoy our photos.
Some photos don't have captions because I am not really sure the story of them, I just took photos of all the neat statues and beautiful buildings.
